From time to time - unfortunately for them.... not me, I talk to patients that did not follow our requirements. They either did not start our form of care (which, is fine and I respect their decision) or for what ever reason did not comply with our requirements... And I referred them out to another chiropractor or medical doctor - because, deep down they really wanted to "patch-up" their problem.
Patch -up to them means something very different than what it means in reality. Reality patch -up is nothing more than temporary and NOTHING was fixed. Sure you felt better, moved better and got back to work... for a while - hey for most doctors that's a great or positive out come. In MY opinion - you've pushed the problem - WHICH IS STILL THERE back a few months or maybe even a few years. (lucky YOU)
So, I was on the waters edge watching a person up the river ... explaining to me how deep the river was for them (surgeries, lost work , no money, disability) truly they were neck deep and without a paddle. And I felt bad for a moment - then I asked them why?
Why didn't you follow the comprehensive plan to get you back to normal? Silence, then the usual: time, money or did not think it was as bad as you said,, blah, blah, blah.
No offensive to Dentist... but, we were talking about your spine an nervous system - NOT a cavity.
We are not for everyone and if you decide not to undertake our care - then good wishes to you.. really, I mean that sincerely. If you take up our care... then I EXPECT you follow it to the letter, exactly. Why, your chance of failing rises sharply.
Do it and do it right - or don't even START. Please, I'm tired of seeing people up the river without a paddle.
