A good place to start is to first describe what traditional chiropractic entails; Traditional Chiropractic has three goals, they are:
1.) To Decrease Pain,
2.) Increase Range of Movement,
3.) Decrease Muscle Spasm.
These are all worthy goals. The majority of chiropractors in our area, I would describe as traditional chiropractors and I have no doubt they do a good job with their three goals. Most chiropractors use aggressive spinal manipulations a few, use type of instrumentation to accomplish those three goals.
Our focus, Structural Chiropractic is a branch of chiropractic that focuses on the correction of the spine back to within normal range. It's easy to understand the difference. As you are well aware, there are normal ranges for our bodies... such as body temperature, blood pressure, cholesterol and eyesight just to name a few. You know that the spine is the inner frame work of the body that supports and protects all the organs of our body. But, I'll bet you may not be aware of the normal range of the spine.
It's important to know what normal is, when it comes to the working of our bodies. For example, we all know what a fever is.... only because we know what the normal range is for body temperature.
If your spine is outside the normal range... this is a Primary Structural Problem that can cause a myriad of secondary problems or symptoms.
Our goal is easy to understand, to correct your spine back to the normal range. We do this with our Gentle Specific Spinal Corrections using our Correcting Instrument, along with our Structural Rehabilitation using our Remodeling Tables and our Complementary Requirements. Most of our patients are tired of patching up their problems on Monday only to have them return again on Friday... we offer our services for patients looking for a customized lasting solution.
